The Master of Science program in Rural Development aims to train project planners/implementors/researchers to provide expertise in institutional/agency technology delivery systems and in the social science research component of its program. This advance training will produce manpower who will undertake scholarly work, conduct socio-economic researches and carry out barangay action projects.
The Master of Professional Studies program in Rural Development, a non-thesis option, aims to produce graduates who will serve the rural families as barangay development specialists.
The RD masteral program emphasizes on the research/management skills requirement of middle level management professionals. Its main thrust, therefore, is the enhancement of the spirit as well as the effective use of the method of productive scholarly work for rural leadership, authentic barangay service, and the fulfillment of the personhood of man for relevance in a one-world community.
The main thrust of the MPS program is the professionalism and the institutionalization of rural development in regional schools/ministries whose commitment is the improvement of human condition in the countryside.
