The Ph.D. in Rural Development allows enough flexibility to accomodate the special needs and interests of the individual student. This allows the faculty to deal realistically with the students' heterogeneous experience, training, professional activities, and potentials.
This program is multidisciplinary in its approach to research in rural development. It aims to develop prospective rural development managers, implementors, educators, and researchers who are expected to take the leadership role of planning, implementing and evaluating rural development programs in the local, regional and national levels.
