Master in Renewable Energy Systems
Program Description

The main thrust of the master
in Renewable Energy Systems is the training
of educators, researchers, extensionists and
planners, in both government and non-government
organizations, as well as private individuals
who will lead in teaching courses, spearhead
and facilitate the formulation, evaluation and
revision of renewal energy plans, projects and
programs, and help promote a renewable energy
system and technology industry in the Philippines.

Program Management
The Master in Renewable Energy Systems will be offered by the Open University in collaboration with the College of Engineering, CLSU-Affiliated Non-Conventional Energy Center, and Environmental Management Institute. A department of Renewable Energy is hereby created in the Open University which will be responsible for the management of the Master in Renewable Energy Systems and Doctor in Renewable Energy Systems as well as oversee the implementation of existing and relevant academic policies. The DRE will be headed by a chairperson who will be designated by the University President following duly approved pertinent University policies and procedures.
Course Requirements
The course requirements for the Master in Renewable Energy Systems and Doctor in Renewable Energy Systems are categorized into core, major and minor courses. Moreover, students are required to pass a comprehensive examination on all courses taken and submit a case study on any area of renewable energy.
